ITEC6/77432 Authoring Systems (3)
This course is a web-based experience consisting of an exploration of the development of Web-based instructional programs with Dreamweaver, the industry leading cross-platform web authoring tool from Macromedia. In addition, other authoring tools will be explored as the course progresses, including tools designed specifically for course and web authoring. The course features hands-on tutorial exercises in webpage authoring, exploring web authoring tools, concept research, and culminating website projects.

This course will focus on the development of prototype computer-assisted instruction and multimedia systems. The course will feature self-instructional tutorials, reading assignments, and discussion questions, as well as individually selected design projects. Individual projects will be developed using advanced authoring tools and techniques. This course is designed to introduce pre- and inservice educators and trainers to the design and development of multimedia lessons for use in a variety of educational settings.

This course is designed to explore significant issues in the field of instructional technology, including latest research findings, use of newest technologies, instructional design issues, present state of the field and future directions.
ITEC6/77425 Managing Technological Change (3)
In this course, students will investigate systemic change models, assist in explaining and describing characteristics and features of change models, document an actual change process from an educational setting, examine the impacts of group dynamics and organizational development on the change process, and propose a plan for implementing instructional change based on a change model (or combination of change models) including an appropriate project management plan. Students will review and critique work of their peers for selected projects.
