Athletic Training

Athletic Training is an allied health profession dealing with the the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. This program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

Community Health

The Health Education and Promotion (HEDP) Program offers a B.S. degree in Community Health Education and a B.S.E. in School Health Education. This program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Educational Studies

The Educational Studies program is a non-licensure option which is designed for individuals who wish to function as educators in human services and resource settings, including business and industry, religious, community, or interest and advocacy groups.

Hospitality Management

This program prepares students for management careers in the hospitality industry, including managers in restaurants, hotels, conference centers, country clubs, and other hospitality venues. This program is one of only two programs in the State of Ohio to be accredited by the Accreditations Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).

Integrated Health Studies

This program is interdisciplinary and involves a variety of academic areas both from the College of Education, Health, and Human Services, as well as other departments at Kent that deal with health and human services.

The mission of the Integrated Health Studies program is to educate individuals to serve present and future needs of an increasingly diverse society in the professional fields associated with health, human development, and community services.

Speech Pathology & Audiology

Speech Pathology & Audiology's mission and major goals are to train individuals to diagnose, treat and provide information regarding communication disorders; to conduct research regarding the nature, treatment and prevention of communication disorers; and to provide community service to help individuals with or likely to develop communication disorders.

The Sport Administration program prepares students for careers in the sport industry, including sport management at all levels, facility management, event planning, sport marketing and public relations. This program blends academic coursework with numerous practical experiences.
